We support new and emerging community organisations who are keen to play their part in the economic, social and environmental success of the South of Scotland.

We have a particular focus on local initiatives that can help communities to grow their capacity and resilience over the long term.

To achieve this, we help groups to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and ambition, and use the tools of enterprise to achieve sustainable impact.

Enterprising journey support

You may be an individual or group with good knowledge of the challenges in your community, but unsure how to take things forward. Maybe you have ideas already, or would welcome inspiration and a friendly sounding-board?

SOSE can offer a mix of support, including 121 advice, workshops and training, resources and, in some cases, funding.

We work closely with our local and national third sector partners, to ensure you receive the best support for your situation. SOSE’s focus includes support for ‘Priority Places’ and place-based working with key stakeholders.
