First Tracks is a brand new first of its kind eight week programme is focussed on supporting entrepreneurs with the development of innovative products and services in the Bicycle, Tourism and Outdoor Recreation Industries.

The core programme delivery is co-hosted between South Of Scotland Enterprise (SOSE) and Edinburgh Napier University (ENU).

You may just have had a stunning idea so far and need help to realise it, or you may already run a business that wants to diversifying with a new offer.

First Tracks is about giving you the skills and confidence to take that next step.

We are accepting applications from 8 November to 31 December.

The programme runs for eight weeks from 20 January 2025 and there will be compulsory 1-2-1 sessions most weeks with a business coach (expected to be online)

Compulsory attendance is expected at a network and focus group session in week seven at Glentress Peel.

A mix of online and hybrid specialist sessions and talks that will be adapted to the cohort. These will include:

  • Sector specific marketing advice
  • Cycling sector regulation and safety from the Bicycle Association of Great Britain
  • Market data session from the Bicycle Association of Great Britain
  • Circular economy and sustainability guidance
  • Adventure Tourism data session
