Techscaler is excited to be working with South of Scotland Enterprise to bring this workshop to the South of Scotland. Techscaler is a programme, run by CodeBase, that creates, develops, and scales startups by connecting founders with experts, teaching world-class playbooks, and hosting spaces for fellow founders to work and hang out. By working together with South of Scotland Enterprise, we are able to provide tech expertise and support for scalable businesses to grow.

This workshop will explore the customer problems you are solving, ideate on solutions for growth which are technology focussed, and give you an understanding of the different business models that support a tech product launch. We recommend attending in person at one of our locations to get the best experience, and to get your business on the right path to scaling, fast!

Examples of the type of businesses that would benefit from this workshop:

• Social enterprises providing a service (community services, legal services,
• education or training)
• Consultancies (e.g. ESG consultants, HR consultants, marketing consultants)
• Software agencies (e.g. you’re creating apps/products 1-1 for clients already)
• Marketing, PR & Digital agencies (e.g. you’re providing these services as retainers/one off projects)
• Service providers (e.g. freelancers, VAs, customer service agents)

Lunch will be provided, along with introductions to the Techscaler and South of Scotland Enterprise team.

Locations: This workshop will take place in Hawick, and will be streamed to Dumfries, while also being available online. When booking your ticket, please choose the location that you would like to attend, either in person in Hawick, at our watch party in Dumfries, or online.

Speakers: This workshop will be delivered by Shona Marsh, VP of Startup Programmes at CodeBase.

Shona is an energetic startup builder, specialising in direct-to-market digital platform launches. She spent 8 years building startups and growing the business of one of the Silicon Valley unicorns, Airbnb. This journey included the acquisition of the company she joined at Day 0, Accomable, and some teaching and mentoring through University entrepreneurship programmes at Falmouth and Oxford Universities. Prior to this, she built tourist destination brands and tourism businesses. She is currently supporting individuals and startups to explore the world of tech innovation and successful startup building through education, accelerators and peer learning at CodeBase as VP of Startup Programmes.
